Simbakubwa discovered in Kenya

The skeleton that is 22-million-years-old, a Carnivorous Lion, has been found in Kenya and named Simbakubwa. The skull was excavated almost 40 years ago at Meswa Bridge and remained undetected at the national museum.

The Journal of Vertebrate Paleontology, reports that the powerful predator is the oldest known member in a group of extinct mammals called hyaenodonts, so named due to their dental resemblance to hyenas, even though the groups are also unrelated.

Apology if it is already posted.

‘carnivorous’ lion.

Nature has an interesting way of making creatures evolve. For example, in Australia its like marsupials are dominant. There was even a marsupial lion uko

It seems the earth was a very scary place millions of years ago. Everything was 10 times as large, and then there were dinosaurs like T. rex. Sahara crocs were 30 metres long, imagine that…

Ghassia if humans where around we would also have been giants so we don’t scare
