Some Data Analysis

#1
Hello Ktalkers,
This goes out to all the 'technolists' here in the village. Am stack in trying to find patterns on a project i have, I want to get insights from facebook groups (on posts and comments), in short i want to know if there is anyone with such expertise to help a friend here;

What am intending to do:

>>Extract facebook groups data ie posts and comments.
>>Analyse that data to a point of getting recurring patterns.

Anyone with an idea of how i should go about it your feedback is highly appreciated.

How will you access the FB Database in order to list all groups (hidden, public, secret, etc?). If you can access the database, then am sure you can find all statistics you need, else, ni ngumu....

Its a few facebook groups,like four of them, like have all the post+comments in a spreadsheet, don know if its possible using mayb extra softwares
It is possible as long as they can access the database to save them in a file for further analysis. I know that there are some companies/ developers that are able to develop applications for FB but not sure they have full access to the raw backend databases

I saw a tutorial of one that does exactly that, with the example i saw i guess its like what i needed. But the problem now is to make sense of that data,

That is true considering that the data is generally unstructured for real quality analysis.. You would have to then do a manual structuring before subjecting them to an analysis tool. Like have the comments in Excel and then add another column against each comment and put a code for each response depending on what you are looking for, then use other analysis tools (and they are very many) to now analyze and make sense of the whole set of data

Thank you. I feel this makes sense to my query. I will try this strategy, or are you good at it or may be you know of someone who can do it?
