…a friend confided on how he removed his stabiliser bar and stabiliser link on an NZE because it was noisy on corrugated roads. I thought it was a lie because he later sold it. Today on checking one of his friends fielder, we found this bar missing.
My Wonder is, since stabiliser bar is the anti roll bar, how safe is it to drive a car with these components removed?
What other components that are fitted by manufacturers but Kenyans find them useless apart from thermostat and catalytic converter?
My 2 sence reasoning. If they were useless why did the manufacturer put them in the first place?
My only trouble has been the catalytic converter for a diesel vehicle otherwise sitambui mechanic kuniambia nitoe part ilikuja na gari.
I had a problem with my steering horn coil. A mechanic suggested niweke button kwa dashboard nikue napiga horn manually. Nilimwambia awachane na hio gari aende zake. Later bought the complete set at 3500
Hehe. Thats stupid. Lakini watu wa axio na probox what do you expect. Si hizo vitu unafaa ununue mpya. Stabilizer links. If they are noisy they are worn. Ukifinya badala ya kureplace ufanye more damage.
You might have misunderstood what anti-roll means in this contex. It basicly balances the car on hard corners so one side doesnt ride up when cornering. It is more a steering feature than a safety feature.
I also forgot of some car owners who when the tyre inakaa uso, inachongwa, inaongezwa treads… So you look at a tyre, you see that there is some tread depth but in real sense imechongwa chongwa. You are only safe in a car you know it’s details
