State funerals

Before 2003, only Jomo Kenyatta had ever been accorded a state funeral. Wamalwa Kijana was the next one to be accorded the owner. Then followed Wangari Mathaai. Now we’ve had Saitoti, Nkaissery, Gachagua, Wagons (next). Is it that the bar to qualify for a state funeral has become so low or is it that too much emotion and politics has crept into it as to who qualifies? Let’s face it, very many prominent and nationalist Kenyans died in between Kenyatta’s and Wamalwa’s deaths that probably deserved state send offs that they weren’t afforded.

I think I’ll demand for a state funeral in my will let I come back and haunt the fourth something million Kenyans!

PS. Let’s have sex between people destined for Lee Funeral Home and those destined for the City mortuary bila ubaguzi. Kifo hakitabagua

There was a man called Moses Subston Budamba Mudavadi and at his prime he was second in power only to President Moi himself. His house in western was a mini statehouse with people bringing delegations. The reason for this was because he was Moi’s father in politics. He actually handpicked the shy Moi and pushed him from a lowly teacher somewhere in the wilderness of Baringo to the top seat in the nation. Mudavadi was so powerful as a minister in various key ministries that he could counter Moi’s directives and get away with it. And whichever ministry he went to alijaza waluhya huko and proof of that is the Nairobi city council which he wrestled from the kikuyus when he became minister for local govt. Sio kwa ubaya but after mudavadi snr. did this Nairobi soon turned into a pale shadow of it’s former self. And Moi loved him like a father. When he died he actually lay in state for a few days before his body was flown to western for burial.

Honour. That’s a small typo. I would ask for a refund from my English teacher if the archetypal way of responding to a mosquito bite was with a hammer. For now I’ll just give the simple but true excuse that I don’t proof read my posts. I spend a maximum of 10min typing and then I hit the ‘post’ button. Next stupid comment please?
FYI that word Wagon was meant to be Wahome. Blame it on autocorrect.
Can you highlight other spelling or grammatical mistakes in the post now that we are focusing on the hare and losing sight of the gazelle?

That doesn’t qualify as a state funeral

unajua to lie in state inamaanisha nini? lying in state ndio state funeral. sio mambo na kubebwa na ile mercedes ya black ama ati president ali attend na tukaona kwa tv. and to lie in state haifanyiwi just any hoi polloi. and flags fly in half mast ndio ukumbukwe. na unawekwa mahali kama parliament hivi watu wanapita wakicheki mwili for a few days. google jomo kenyatta lying in state there should be a few videos including the part where jaramogi throws his flywhisk all over the body shouting stuff. na pia kuna ingine inaitwa lying in repose. the kenya media misuse words, ati korir will get state funeral…
hata hii ya mudavadi I imagine it was more of Moi saying thank you to a friend.

Hata ile ya Fidel juu alibebwa na military plane the media described it as a state funeral.
