Step 1: Stocking Complete, Onto Step 2: Upgrading the Herd. How does our New Pure Boar Buck look?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NCcj3UJz0Xs

Now compare it with the Black and White one on this video which is 10 and 1/2 months old and still yet to mature!!!
The Breed matters A LOT! That’s why we are having another go even after losing the first boar we had within a period of 6 months due to an underlying lung condition.

The current price of this 5 month old buck is Kshs 50,000 for those interested in goat farming.

Why does the he goat looks like a pet than a rack of ribs.

How do you manage records?

@Gaza tembelea hii mtu usalimie yeye

Nitaenda kutembelea huyu elder uko ukambani at some point. Nipitie chokosh @PHARMACY niwekelee Kofi moja tu … juu ya ujinga na nimwachie Jonnie Walker green label. Nikiendanga …

@PaulTheFarmer Excellent quality Boar Buck of good genetics. Did you source it locally or import? I still don’t get it tho’ why you choose to cross boar and galla? What informed you of that choice? Any particular benefits? Personally I have been doing genetic improvement with my indigenous goats with galla. I’m about 60% done and hope to have pure galla’s in less than 2 yrs. Planning on doing boar as a separate venture within the farm. My strategy as breeder is to have pure genetics of all my stocks from cattle (aryshire) sheep (dorper) goats (galla/and boar). Great work still comrade…

Haha! He’s almost just 5 months old bro. A mature one is Kshs 150,000. Too risky, the Kshs is now shit against the dollar, na economy mbaya!

Currently just excel but i’ve identifies several good subscription apps. Will share next week.

I read it on some article, will share it. This is imported been around about a month now. I will visit one day for quality goats. Good job feeding the country bro.

Is it for food at that price?

The term we use is ‘Stud’…for breeding.
