just had to share.
Yesterday afternoon, someone who had read my post asked me, ‘what next after I overcome my fear of failure?’ My answer was, ‘Just go ahead and do it’.
You may conquer all the fears in the world but you will not get anywhere if you don’t do something. Many young people keep procrastinating. They keep pushing things that should be done today to tomorrow and keep seeking petty excuses to get away with. The very first excuse is always Capital. I call this an excuse because I genuinely believe that your idea is your greatest capital. You don’t need to have to a lot of money, a complicated business plan or a great deal of experience to start something.
I had only Ksh. 60,000 and no experience at all in tents business when I started Shade Systems EA Ltd. All I had was my Idea and great vision. I knew where I wanted to be and even now, I haven’t reached there yet. I am still on the journey. I conquered the fear of failure and once I realized that I will fail as many times and it wouldn’t mean that I am a failure, I quit wanting and talking and started doing. Challenges were there, yes, and I can promise you that you will face them too, but this doesn’t mean you tap out…No, No. This means you keep doing and moving forward. Today’s challenges and obstacles are tomorrow’s valuable lessons and experiences.
Today is that day you stop being a want-preneur and talk-preneur & start being an entre-preneur.
Just as Richard Branson said, ‘Just do it’, you don’t have to figure out everything at the moment, just start the journey and you will handle things as they come. End procrastination. Start Doing.
