Subaru legacy turbo dit 2013

niaje wadau namezea hii gari mate…what are your opinions on the legacy 2013? Are Baraza’s claims that local fuel will eventually damage the engine of this beast true? What about the steering problems and transmission issues? How would you compare it to the crown and cx5, and which one would you go for?

Hii swali uliza kwa Subaru groups pale kwa Zuckerberg and get first hand information from the real owners, hapa utapata mtu hawana hata nduthi kwao telling you to go buy Toyota Nyoka and forget about the list above

That’s a performance model. Easiest way to answer these questions: join a subaru forum. Kuna mingi huko reddit. Find local subaru groups, I guess anza facebook. and meet actual subie fans, or ask those questions there.
My advice tho, kama huna pesa do not buy a Subaru. Stick to Toyotas. Crown si gari mbaya.

:D:D

There is nothing wrong with local fuel.
I doubt we even have RON 87 like some developed countries. I think we have RON91 and above.

Crown ni higher grade car with smooth v6. If you have no need for AWD car, chukua crown… preferably Crown Athlete

Subaru legacy 2013
Crown
CX5
why throw in the last one? are you sure of what you want…those three are very different in almost every aspect

I added the cx5 in the mix because the prices are within the same ballpark, i know people like restricting that if you want a sedan you should only list and compare sedans, but in this case i feel the cx5 fits well coz of the price and even the engine size is within range with the other 2 card

:D:D

The mazda turbodiesel. Very economical. My conservative estimate is 18km/l
The engine delivers 420nm to that small car. That is the same torque a landruiser v8 engine delivers. 0 to 120kmph its the master.

that aside…avoid those beautiful crystal paints/colours on mazda…and dont loose any part…repairs are expensive…very expensive
…rear moulding has just cost me an arm and leg…and a small scratch recently left me 25k poorer…so be ready to spend

What would you recommend between Mazda Atenza diesel and petrol, and why? I have been checking Beforward and SBT for some time and the 2.2L diesels outnumber petrols by a significant number. I like the Atenza and I hope to get one in the next few months mambo ikienda mzuri

naskia diesel engines are very sensitive…you have to really take care of them…
But I know someone who owns a 2.5 litre petrol one and has never complained…very great car…actually mazda is a very nice Japanese car, I wish I had discovered it earlier.

Cx5 is getting me think of it.

Landcruiser gani hiyo ya v8 iko na 420nm torque?

Chukua premio ama allion and save on fuel and the cars are affordable. Hizo zingine ni upuzi after one day utakua umeboeka. If things reciver after Corona nunua ata Bugatti ukitaka.

The Legacy is great in almost every aspect. Fuel problems are only in diesel engines as the diesel sold locally is not at par in quality as the countries the vehicle was built for particularly Europe n Australia. Again Subaru discontinued diesel engines so support may be limited esp in this part of the world. Steering wheel issues are common in and it’s a matter of when not if it will occur and began when Fuji heavy industries shifted from Hydraulic power steering to EPS.
AWD is great whenever you venture off-road or even in tricky situations esp using feeder roads when it’s rainy. The back seats are also spacious…just be keen on oil consumption

No car is cheap to repair. Unless parts are from stolen cars. I once broke a Toyota tail light and spend 25k for brand new. Mazda Cx5 tail light is 15k.

I really doubt if Mazda 2013 is turbo- turbo I believe is pretty new but that aside, a cx5 is no comparison to Subaru- there are things that only exist in Subaru:

[li]Subaru AWD is incomparable to even the most decorated 4x4 SUV’s-you can find this on YouTube.[/li][li]A 2013 forester xt(2.0 ltr, turbo charged has an output of up to 270bhp on CVT transmission)[/li][li]If we bring in a 2013 rav4, you get the drift- I owned 1 for a few weeks and was disappointed- consumption at btwn 7-8km/l while the present 2014 turbo forester does 8.8-14km/l depending on how I push it- normal city drive with bits of traffic gives me 10, highway on adaptive cruise control goes to 13-14.[/li][li]Turbocharged Subaru’s separate boys from men in a good way, uphill.[/li][li]The notion that parts are expensive is a lie: if i do 1 part per year brake pads at 20k am good.[/li]

Mazda Cx5 Diesel is Turbocharged. Petrol 2.5 litre also but from 2014. 2.0 petrol is not turbo.
