I buy njugu @150 per kilo naenda nakaranga for my own consumption. If I was to buy the same kwa supermarket I’d have to part with 400 Bob, you guys should move out of the volatile sugar industry.
My parents grow them along with maize sorghum, beans n ndegu. All the crops give good yield except for groundnuts which i feel they don’t put much effort into. Though per harvest we get like 2 or 3 sacks before the nut covers are taken off

am not being tribal but from what i have seen luhyas need to get their act together, the disunity among their subtribes is too high. if they joined and “talked politically” together like luos no government would ignore them like the situation is currently. that way they would be able to lobby for and get mega irrigation projects, hydro electric plants etc
