As we continue jovilating about the self proscribed "sultan"of mombasa, me, as a pure blood i find the title offensive, mombasa people especially the local mijikendas, 200 yrs ago were enslaved by the local sultans of Zanzibar who originated from Oman and Persia
The Sultans and moghuls were never muslim rulers, what i know muslims had khalifas, imams and sheikhs, the sultans were the lavish ones who had mistresses concubines harems and orgies.
