Swali kadogo tu....

Wanakijiji bwakire…
niko na swali kadogo kuhusu hii NHIF… now that CS wa health amecancel hyo mambo ya 4 visits per year chieth, does that also mean that we go back to the old system ya kuchoose outpatient ama hyo directive mpya ya kuenda hosy yoyote still stands?
Ni hayo tu wadau otherwise muwe na monday njema. Asande

Forrowing…

Bwakire buya!!! Oyominto, Please walk to the nearest NHIF centre and ask those questions.

Unatuita Humbwer, and expect us to help?

Anyway, i think the directive on the capping to 4 visits is what was reversed. All else remaining as earlier announced. It may however be good to engage NHIF on twirra to get the oficio pozishen.

…and once you get the answers please come and post here for the benefit of others.

I have tried engaging them online but it seems they have more important matters to deal with like proving how 4 visits per year is enough as they have a way of negotiating with illnesses on the number of times they should attack per year.

We The People don’t knw what ur talking about

That was the shitiest stuff I have read in a long time. That’s no insurance at all. You pay 500 p/m *12=6000 for only 4 visits of 1500 each=6000. So man you better put that cash in a sacco or mattress for that rainny day

The CS said the new plans were canceled and everything reverted to what it was before.

Ume RESIST NHIF pia:D:D

Proof of the above ata ka ni audio recording or else…unajua tu
Health secretary Cleopa Mailu has suspended with immediate effect the directive by the National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) to limit the outpatient visits to only four per year.

Dr Mailu who was away from Nairobi said he would issue a full statement soon after consultations on how NHIF arrived at the decision.

“This is until further consultations are held between the NHIF board and other stakeholders,” Dr Mailu said in a statement.

Meanwhile patients should continue with the services as it has been the case before. A full statement will be issued soon," he said.

The decision to suspend the directive comes a day after the NHIF chief executive Geoffrey Mwangi announced the new outpatient package that was going to limit lower contributors to only four outpatient visits per year.

Dr Mailu said he has suspended the implementation following a public outcry.

A section of Kenyans on social media Friday termed the decision as discriminative and unfair especially for low income earners. A petition was also started by medical practitioners to force the national insurer to withdraw the controversial directive.
