Hey guys, am interested in t-shirts, caps, mugs and plate printing business using a heat press machine.

Anyone who's doing, did or has a first hand experience to guide me through since most info am having, are from YouTube videos but there are some vital info I can't quite from there.

1. Which printer to use, inkjet or LaserJet?

2. If inkjet, which one is best for the job? Same applies to LaserJet.

3. If inkjet, which sublimation ink is best? Same thing also to LaserJet

4. Which sublimation paper is best?

5. Best heat press, now that I saw a certain video where there are sub standard heat press.

And lastly, do heat press Print as much as screen printed ones?

Hey guys, am interested in t-shirts, caps, mugs and plate printing business using a heat press machine.

1. Which printer to use, inkjet or LaserJet?
For t-shirts and Caps you will require a Colour laser Printer. You can invest in one or outsource the print Service where you get the transfer papers printed elsewhere and only invest in the t-shirts and Caps heat press Machines.
On the Brand of the Machines to invest in purely depends on your budget but must caution you, “cheap is expensive”.
For the heat press Machines I would recommend 2 brands if you have a good budget:
1. Stahls Hotronix - USA
2. Geo Knight. - USA

For the Mugs and plates I guess you are referring to the sublimation Mugs and plates, right? If so for these you need a sublimation Printer, a combo heat press and a mug(s) heat press machine. These also depend on your budget. For the combo I would recommend the Geo Knight and for Mugs Adkin (UK).

2. If inkjet, which one is best for the job? Same applies to LaserJet.
For the laser you can acquire a Konica Minolta; that’s for printing on heat transfer papers.

3. If inkjet, which sublimation ink is best? Same thing also to LaserJet

4. Which sublimation paper is best?
For sublimation paper you can consider true pix, that’s to use with the sublimation Printer. (This is for Mugs and plates).
For heat transfer on Tshirts and Caps you can consider forever Brand.

5. Best heat press, now that I saw a certain video where there are sub standard heat press.
Refer to the answers above.

And lastly, do heat press Print as much as screen printed ones?
- I don’t understand your question here, please elaborate.

I hope this information is helpful.

In my opinion it is a pretty good and profitable business, but you have to know how to start everything correctly and carefully calculate each step and choice. For example, these days I found this site https://www.printful.com/start-online-tshirt-business where each step is explained and what needs to be done and I really liked the way they tried to explain everything and made me think a lot. I see that I would have many possibilities and I would make good money if I started this business. Anyway, at the moment I'm at the analysis stage and then I see if I decide.
