Our governments should wake up and allow the cultivation of hemp. But no, they are sheep, they follow the West, and then it is too late for any economic advantage.

Hemp grows very fast and has very few requirements.
From hemp you can make paper, cloth, bio fuels, medicines, etc.

It would also eat into a share of the alcoholic beverages market

This one would later turn out to be a good business model,
Did you ever do this?
Remember the feeling?

How Is Easter Determined?

Easter falls on the first Sunday after the Full Moon date, based on mathematical calculations, that falls on or after March 21. If the Full Moon is on a Sunday, Easter is celebrated on the following Sunday.

Although Easter is liturgically related to the beginning of spring in the Northern Hemisphere (March equinox) and the Full Moon, its date is not based on the actual astronomical date of either event.

March 21 is the church’s date of the March equinox, regardless of the time zone, while the actual date of the equinox varies between March 19 and March 22, and the date depends on the time zone.

The date of the Paschal Full Moon, used to determine the date of Easter, is based on mathematical approximations following a 19-year cycle called the Metonic cycle.

Both dates may coincide with the dates of the astronomical events, but in some years, they don’t.

Astronomical vs. Ecclesiastical Dates

In years in which the church’s March equinox and Paschal Full Moon dates do not coincide with the astronomical dates of these events, confusion about the date of Easter can arise. In 2019, for example, the March equinox in the Western Hemisphere happened on Wednesday, March 20, while the first Full Moon in spring was on Thursday, March 21 in many time zones. If the church followed the timing of these astronomical events, Easter would have been celebrated on March 24, the Sunday after the Full Moon on March 21.

However, the Full Moon date in March specified by the church’s lunar calendar, also called the ecclesiastical Full Moon, was March 20, 2019—one day before the ecclesiastical date of the March equinox, March 21. For that reason, the Easter date 2019 is based on the next ecclesiastical Full Moon, which is on April 18. This is why Easter 2019 falls on April 21.

The imposing Church of Goodwill situated at Kariandusi in Nakuru County. It was built by a colonial settler Lady Eleanor Balfour in memory of her husband and in honour of her two sons who had returned safely from war.

The church was constructed as a gift to God by a colonial settler Lady Eleanor Balfour, wife of the Lord Galbraith Cole of the 5th Early Enniskillen.

She built it in honour of her late husband and also as thanksgiving to God for bringing her two sons back from the battlefield during the Second World War.

It is an imposing architectural masterpiece.

he protruding bell tower and the wooden roofing tiles have withstood the vagaries of weather over the years to stand the test of time, making it a historic monument worth visiting.

The magnificent colonial structure makes one feel as old as the stone walled structure that boasts of a couple of graves that remain well-kept a century later.

The graves outside the church, we are told, are those of the founder members of the church who had stated their wishes to be buried next to the building.

The graves bear the names and their dates of death, some in English and others in French.

Its wooden teak doors are arch-shaped and have heavy latches on them while for the windows, narrow arch shaped long spaces have been nicely constructed into the walls letting rays of light that illuminate the church’s interior.

The church was officially opened in 1947.

The opening also coincided with the twentieth anniversary of her late husband Lord Galbraith Cole’s death.

To preserve it, she ensured that all movables inside the church were also imported and she footed the bill and the same have remained in use to date.

While other structures have long been disposed off after the 38,000 hectare Kikopey farm owned by Lady Balfour was subdivided, the church is the only structure that retained its original purpose.

It is located near the old Nakuru–Nairobi road near Kariandusi pre-historic site at Kikopey in Elementaita, Nakuru County.

The confusion was actually bigger pre 1582, because when Constantine (a great pagan) and his team were fixing easter against the full moon and equinox, they never factored in one minor detail. They used a calender year of 365.0000 days instead of 365.2424 days, this caused a major problem with the calender drift vs the actual equinox day over the years

Pope Gregory (of Gregorian calender fame) to restore sanity and correct the date system (by then easter as per Julian calender had drifted by 11 days ) had to correct the date system to prevent further decay, to do this he had to cut off some days in one of the months, so on October 4th 1582, the next day was NOT 5th, guys went to bed on 4th and woke up on 15th, thus compensating for the drift

This fixed the problem however he also created a major problem that month, landlords charged by weekly rent so they were on the doors of their tenants asking for rent (mind you it was just 4 days after previous collection), tenants on the other hand refused to pay for phantom days, history tells us there was a bit of drama :D:D:D

Pale high school, we’d take it undiluted.
