My uncle was a GSU officer among the guys who were guarding mzee on that fateful day-am yet to establish whether he pulled a hekaya on me. Jamaa aliniambia what went down that day was ugly. People started throwing chairs and stones to mzee. They were protesting the murder of Thomas Joseph Mboya or something like that. Kidogo kidogo everyone was ordered to sit on the floor including those on the dais (hapa alinichenga). The first person to die was a fellow GSU officer from a bullet shot in the air to calm the crowd. Then mzee addressed the people after Jaramogi asked people to calm down…kutoka hapo ni stampede and many people died…
