FAQ

@Soprano, what’s wrong in them asking a copy of your ID?

No problem, my Friend. But why should they ask for it for this particular service and not for the other services?

…Other services like??

Unlimited?

ID = sim registration. A legal requirement

Like when their girls are selling those 4g sim cards mitaani, they are asking for your id number only. If you ask them to register you for the home plans they say that you must visit Telkom Kenya customer care centre for that. When you go there they ask for your id copy.

Upus. 10Gb namaliza na siku moja

Okay.

How far is their 4G network coverage? That’s what to consider first.

It does not matter to me. On the go, I use Safaricom, which is available almost every where I go, except in Arusha.

Telkom itabaki kuwa Telkom ata wakibadilisha jina.

kama ni limited na mambo za bundles tena wacha ikae

This, my Friend, is debatable.

Will stick to my zuku !

In a service-oriented industry like telecommunications, you need talent and competence. Telkom will never have these in the foreseeable future as it is still staffed by people who landed their positions through dubious means. From my observation, they always launch products that should tilt the market in their favor. However, they lack the appropriate human resource to push such products to success. The competitors are all too aware of this fact and that is the reason you are unlikely to see counter-offers from the competition.

After fup?

they eat your shillings at two bob an MB

can i buy a home internet simcard only?

Yes. Go to the Telkom Kenya customer care centre with a copy of your id.
