The cancer scourge

As a medic in KE I’ve made one sorry observation which is the effects of cancer on families and society. This thing is driving families further into poverty and despondency abd at this rate cancer will be the end of the human race.

The best way to deal with cancer is to live a health life now, get regular annual check ups and a good health care insurance to help in the future. That was the advice of my doctor 5 years ago and I’ve kept to it. Healthy lifestyle is the first thing. I skipped all processed foods. Anything canned or packed with artificial flavours. I stopped taking sugar. I only eat fresh cooked organic food. I don’t drink carbonate drinks like sodas etc. I work out and live an active lifestyle. I haven’t been sick in the last 5 years either. I take vegetable with every meal and plenty of fruits. Its was hard to adjust at first but it has helped a lot in the long ran.

Cancer is a bitch… it grinds slowly but surely.
Unfortunately, even as cancer is on its grind, some guys are busy ensuring that the afflicted and their families end up in deep poverty.
Why in heavens name would a doctor recommend surgery abroad for a stage 3-5 cancer afflicted person?

Early screening also helps especially for those above the age of 40. Cancer in stages 1&2 is manageable thus early detection goes a long way in reducing mortality related to cancer

And i don’t know if this applies to Kenyan population as well but it is now said that prostrate cancer is a bigger killer than breast cancer , but well you know as men , we tend to shy away or not care about such things .

Here is the article to read http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-5342347/Prostate-cancer-bigger-killer-breast-cancer.html

How do you get screened for stomach and brain cancer? Btw did Emanuel Jadudi get well?

I thought you guys are thriving in that.Taking advantage of the scourge and other issues affecting the health sectors to ask for more pay.Shindwe nyinyi wote

Wadau threshold ni muhimu sana. asande

prostate cancer is the lead cancer in men just as breast cancer is in women.

Healthy lifestyle is very difficult to maintain, God is our only saviour.

The problem is carcinogenic ssources which cannot be controlled such as soil and air pollution.

then our incompetent govt cannot even purchase basic cancer machines that cost around 200m, while squandering billions on non issues. someone remind me, under the big 4 agenda, how is this stupid govt going to tackle the issue of health care?

Live a healthy lifestyle go for regular screening and on top of that be ingesting cannabis once in a while

I don’t think there has been a rise in cancer cases ! there are 2 factors

  1. screen and diagnostics have gotten better , siku za he died of natural causes are behind us
  2. Cancer is just the ceiling we have hit as humans when it comes to overcoming diseases , Guys who would have died of malaria, tb, polio, etc… get to survive untl you are hit by the big C, hence it seems as if cancer is on the rise , it’s just that we all get to that wall and non of us can climb it !

Mambo ya healthy life style you can only do so much , I had an uncle who has never smoked and never drunk( and I mean never ) the chap died of Leukemia in his mid 60s, 2 weeks ago we buried my grand dad this chap was a chimney and a super drunk ( dead beat dad of the century ) yeye amezikwa na 93 years , So live ur life !

F@#k cancer it’s a white mans disease

Esih!

Its hard to understand cancer nowadays. How often have you heard of sportmen i.e footballers, swimmers, boxers, olympic runners being diagonised with cancer yet they regularly practise healthy lifestyles and keep fit.

Its simple. Live your life.
