The Gambia

As we all know, strongman has refused to step down and a day to Inauguration ceremony for the new CIC he has declared a 90 day state of Emergency. This means if you as much sneeze, unawekwa ndani.

The president-elect is in neighboring country Senegal. Yaya has made sure that he has filed a petition at their Supreme court, borrowing a leaf from The trader, but their bench is not full. Akina Mutunga wako wap? Gambia does not have personnel and their judges are usually foreign Nationals so this court process imegonga ukuta.

Parliament declared Emergency but of course imejaa watu wa incumbent.

Ni kunoma.

Wangewawacha kama Moi. Exit package mzee to retire in peace hata kama alikuwa amewakandamiza hapo awali.

Ama wangemwacha aende exile to a country of his choosing soon after the new regime takes over.

hiyo solution ya @kah tony ndio ilikuwa best, after all he had acceded to elections and acknowledged poll defeat. hii lust for blood and retribution ndio itatumaliza…
mambo ya kuambia an african mzee akakufie exile haiwes work…

I foresee an invasion by Senegal with the backing of other West African countries, and Jammeh off to forced exile. There’s no way that sliver of land along a river can keep that madman as boss.

Gambia is a sovereign state and rule of law must be followed.

Except there is nothing respectable about that mzee.

What would Babuon do?

The country is In a rock and hard place . Senegal wants so bad Jammeh to go because he is funding the kasamas who are rebels fighting Senegalese army. He is also an obstruction towards business trade between north and south Senegal .

It is because of these reasons that it’s the interest at heart for Senegal to take over the country and handover to Barrow. Juju is real , a dog from nowhere bit and killed Barrows son. No one can explain how it happened.

At the same time it will be hard for ecowas to invade the country because there is a case in court challenging legitimacy of Barrow. So if ecowas invaded gambia with leadership of senegal, they would have broken international law since Gambia is a sovereign state.

I would say it’s good to sit and watch and enjoy the ride . AFRICA is rising ,people are aware of the power in their votes. We don’t need anymore dictators .

This guy has killed many people . He is in the same category as Charles Taylor . So many prisoners and opponents disappeared with no trace . There is no exit package for such individual .

How will Fatou Bensouda prosecute her former employer? She was an Attorney General and a Minister of Justice in Gambia under President Jammeh regime.

neither do we need poll victors who go terrorising their rivals all over the courts in pseudojudicial processes for real and imagined crimes. this will only create bitterness, divisions and strife. politicians should know how to strike a balance…

Moi didn’t deserve an exit package…together with akina Biwott, Sunkuli na wengineo. Here is a scene from 1993.

I don’t know how straight I can put it but Moi was much better than this arrogant man . You should see how he treats his subordinates.i happen to have seen it and it’s not interesting. Gambia is second last poorest country in Africa but the guy has a castle in Washington DC that he doesn’t sleep there, he has houses in Morocco where his wife resides . It’s worth over million of dollars ,he rarely goes there .this is just my take …
