From the Githurai Zimmerman demolitions in April, I prefer to sympathise with those caught in the melee under the guise that they were given notice. It is possible that they are innocent for this reason: That most of those living there are possible 4th or even 5th tenants who pay others who have a lease with the County/ City Council. Now, between you and me, who got the 600K payment and the notice from Sonko? I can bet it is the tenant registered and not the one living. The ones who left after being paid must be the real original tenants or their descendants. Te original tenant receives rent from the tenants living in those houses and pays Kanjo as the tenant but living elsewhere!!!

These hovels are supposed to have been demolished ages ago, it just that every time the attempt was made the occupants used to cry that they have nowhere else to go and yet they are mere tenants. You can never be a tenant for life on another person's property.
