The kisii factor....

Everyone including me was stunned by the recent election results from the Kisii region more especially Nyamira county!..

I personally trace my roots from Nyamira and i didn’t see ‘my people’ giving uhuru/Jubilee that much vote!..

Through conversation with my fellow Kisiis i was almost sure every other Kisii man would be giving raila his vote except for some few…but this big numbers which ouru got was rather bizarre…

Villagers any ideas why Nyamiria and the kisii community in general gave uhuru the 56% vs baba 46%

Yeah we do. Because you are one of the most stupid people that ever existed.

I think ODM only received votes from the younger generation who blindly followed baaba without really weighing the pros and cons, case in point you. But the older generation could see past the bullshit and really weigh the situation. When you’re older, you learn to appreciate the little things. Imagine a 70 year old granny who’s lived in Nyamira all her life. The first 60 years of her life were largely uneventful. Then in a span of ten years, her rural home got connected to the electricity grid, the murram road got tarmacked, she started receiving a monthly stipend, her grandchild received a tablet, plus she hears about the SGR and all these other developments taking place all over the country. Atafanya hesabu my fren.
She will pretend to support raila to make you happy or just avoid unnecessary arguments, but in her heart she’ll make a decision to vote for the person she considers responsible for all those positive changes.
At least that’s what I think happened.

Talking to 10 of your cousins doesn’t prove anything. It is just biased info you’ve been receiving. That is how people don’t believe that Uhuru actually won fair and square.

wozthis about a stipend?

There is a program by the government called cash transfer, where elderlies and highly vulnerable households receive a stipend from the government through the DCO’s. It has really helped a good majority of the rural folk.

we know your rhectoric already nothing eye-opening at all -

Matiangi’s prominence in the Jubilee cabinet must also have had a role to play on this. Maybe he is seen as their successor to Sam Ongeri in national politics?

Kenyatta the old man may have often reminded the Gusii that they took the wrong turn in their journey to Mount Kenya. What with his insistence of using the greek versions of Gusii names?
