the living conditions in Kenya's slums.

after a hectic and a stressfull day in the city, where are majority of Kenyans retreating to unwind . a home should offer you some sort of comfort, a place you look forward to get to at the end of the day, lakini hii ya slum banaa ! how do you navigate some of this places when you are drunk ? or how do you even bring up a family in such an environment ?

sio kupenda kwao though.its a fucked up system.it all boils down to greedy leaders, impunity and policies driven by selfishness.but i have a dream one day hii yote itaisha

“mzee akasema rudi mashambani, leo hakuna cha bure.” that song used to be in the syllabus before mambo ya academies ikuje. guys who moved to Texas to ride horses and rear cattle have made it big compared to employees wenye walibaki new York

Lakini pia hio video iko na exaggerations. Ati Mathare Valley slum has 300,000 people? I find that hard to believe.

no one wants to be there, and worse of all, bring up a family in such an environment.

bytway most of the guys in our slums unaonaga wanaenda ocha krisi…meaning guys have got shakehs, wengine even acres…but sijui watu hupendea nini urban centres ata kama huna job poa unakuja tu…sijaelewa

Kenyans have a way of wanting to hang around in big towns and living like mongrels. You will be shocked to learn that thousands of people living in slums have acres of virgin land back in their rural villages but they don’t want to toil and moil and make a decent income from that. They want to live in big polluted cities, work for the Muhindi factories, earn peanuts and live in shanties like pigs.

Kwanza hao sijui nini mbaya nao? Living up country on your own land and farming ni kitu poa sana.

mimi sina shakeh kubwa shags but mimi husema ile siku nitafikisha acre kumi na tano, nairobi nitakuwa nakuja AGM za my listed companies tu

counties should start giving incentives to investors, so as to create employment in the grassroots. the issue is also compounded by the fact that, most graduate, from universities all the way to primary school dropouts want to be in the city.

having been born and raised here,i can tell you very few enjoy this city life…wengi wako tu kuvumilia…siezi acha resources kwa country side nikuje huku

Link ya song priss

alafu unajibrewia booze na unapataa wife material mwenye hajalimwa kuliko shamba.maisha London!

Ile shida kubwa na kilimo (actually kila kitu Kenya) ni mabroker na cartels; mkulima ako at the mercy of the fuckers. If mtu angekuwa na uhakika that your effort and harvest will eanr a fair price, hata mimi ningekuwa nimeenda kulima, away from stress na costs za jiji. But since county zetu wanajali tukuongeza rates as opposed to boosting the farmers, hakuna usaidizi itapatikana.

Nimejipa goal ya kufundishwa kubrew muratina by the village brewmaster this Dec. Nikifaulu short course 2019 drinks budget ikatwe by half or more…

lived In mathare Area 4 in my campus days and I also strongly beg to differ…150k people tops

Capitalism ((Insert the drawing of a triangle showing vile mbirioneas are few on the top and the poor are the majority down there)) is the cause of all this…majority sio kupenda kwao kuishi kama nguruwe…i have been there and lived thru it…sewage iko hapo nje…kuna hoteli on ur left, kibanda ya mboga on ur right…bafu/urinal nyuma ya nyumba, changaa den hapo kando (asubuhi unapata mavi ya neanderthal mlevi kwa mlango, curtain ya mlango ndio ilikua tissue), brothel next door (walevi wakidinya mama mzee infront of her teenage kids…wakiongea unprintables)…on top of the sewer line downstream ni place ya kushonde like a mboss…njugu na mogoka zinauzwa kwa mlango (burning spear playing loudly kwa place ya electronics) …video shop (with porn playing mchana peupe with the local gangs enjoying with their teenage galfriends) steps kadhaa…
Issa shaithole but God huwatoa mmoja mmoja kwa iyo condition.

This whole rot can be blamed partly on National Housing Finance, Ministry of lands, and whoever the fuck was the Mayor of Nairobi from 1963 to 2018. A big chunk of the blame also goes to Kenyans themselves. We as a country have accepted some deplorable situations as a normalcy we can live with. It’s even more sad that we brag about having one of the biggest slums under the sun

SMH, Same people who were complaining about the Uhuru housing project are here complaining about slums.

Jeez. It can’t get worse than this!
