Over the last few days, I have been seriously thinking about life, and if it serves any purpose to be alive.
Life is unnatural. What I mean is that you have to change the default settings of nature to stay alive. Nobody loves toiling, but you have to toil to stay alive. You got to eat and do other unpleasant things (like gym) to stay healthy. You need regular medication to be alive. You got to cut your hair to look good. You have to wear shoes otherwise you hurt your feet. The default settings of humankind don't match the environment we live in. You ate ever fighting nature to stay alive. To stay with unpleasant and ugly people.
After some point, nature wins and you die. People mourn you and immortalise you in various ways, but you're gone. All your struggles and joys count no more, you carry nothing with you, just scars from an unforgiving life. And you leave offsprings to suffer through life before eventually loosing the battle to nature. And the cycle continues forever.
No wonder the bible says that the dead are better than the living. But better that these are those who never were.
