Most likely, the moon is a space alien Observatory. The aliens use it to monitor whatever goes on in Earth. They have successfully obscured their visibility for all those years. A lot of people on earth have this intuition that the aliens are out there and thus the space forays by NASA and other space agencies. The last time NASA visited the moon, they saw and heard nothing significant.
