Unlike what @Kahuni Maisha was yearning for, pro-Ruto MPs have not flinched on the Punguza Mzigo bill. In fact, it is ODM that has issued a statement saying they won’t support it. The issues raised by ODM are genuine and i fully agree with them. In fact, the punguza mzigo bill is bad for the country. However, I also know that Odinga is yearning for a referendum. They would want to argue that a rejection of the Punguza Mzigo bill s an endorsement of the Odinga bill. So rejecting Punguza Mizigo, is approving BBI. I find both bills to be bad; but the BBI is worse. If i have to vote, I may vote against BBI rather than vote for Punguza Mzigo
The only part I dislike the Punguza Mzigo proposal is the part that wants to have one man and one woman per jurisdiction. This is not good at all for the sake of democracy. Let men and women compete and whoever emerges a winner as decided by voters then that person is the best qualified individual to be the MP.
Leadership is not bathrooms where they have to be segregated.

Are you being sarcastic? MCAs have the most to gain, they get to keep their jobs and get increased allocation to their wards.
