Those Mfuckers have no limit to their greed. Najuta kurushia hio mbwa kura, nimechuna masikio, hakuna cha witù witù tena, kwanza kama ni mbwa from one those fcuking families.
Yaani Raila alifanya Nika Rushia uyu mwizi kura akiwa na ile kichana ingine kutoka eltoret.
How Sasa how yenyewe na vile nilituma tu pesa tudogo nyumbani Waongeze wanunue ng'ombe ya kukamua waki uza

Lakini nyinyi watu wa maziwa lazima mkauza raw product bila adding any value. Can't you sell it as cheese, ghee, butter, yoghurt or other dairy products??
A very good point.

That one needs high investment(and expensive) in machinery for processing and a ready market for these products. And even this is without taking into account the high costs of electricity.

Head to a supermarket to buy a half kilo of cheese uone how expensive it is.

@patco should read this. Patty you have written extensively about this scenario!

In Gathecha's case it's cornering the market through abuse of power.

Ni kama juzi they legalized gambling. Raiya mdogo akaleta burungo zake kutoka China. But because you are competing against the big shots and you are not even making much by the way... your Chinese crap is destroyed but SportPesa na hizo zingine za wakubwa zinawachwa standing. You should have heard and seen Waititu destroying the small man's China made burungo...

Ati they are destroying youths. Unashindwa na Sportpesa je????!

Mariga and that Kamba lady are promoting the setting up of similar betting booths in the villages but zao apparently ni safi sana...

Theirs will create "employment".

Same thing with alcohol. Your ancestors brewed muratina and chang'aa but because zita compete na za hawa wakubwa hizi zenyu zinaitwa illicit liquor. As if Smirnoff is not chang'aa in it's very essence...

Ngoja uskie Ruto aki corner egg market proper.

Hata Nakumatt ni kutolewa walitolewa ndio wakubwa walete Carrefour. Kenya ina wenyewe.

Most people with the best raw milk hawajawahi even onja cheese. Yet making homemade cheese only requires milk, vinegar, salt and a fridge!
Hata huyo wa milkbar si aunde a few litres of yoghurt Ama milkshake to start with. Market it to regular customers. To start with you may not require such a high capital investment. Mind you kazi ya ngombe pia required alot of high capital investment to start and maintain.
One cow 50k-200k,cowshed and equipment $, agrofeeds + veterinary more $, labour$. So if someone has already sunk in that much money.. Why stop, why not go further and invest in machinery that can process their product for more gains?
They put in so much only to let akina gatheca dictate the price as they see fit for product wengine have put in alot of time and effort, yet they just bend over and accept the shafting!! Hehe
Yaani ati kama mtu ako na excess supply of milk instead of thinking how they can process it into a product with a longer shelf life and probably higher return margin...Genius ndiyo huyo mbio sana amekimbia City mortuary kununua dawa ya kuhifadhi maiti aweke kwa maziwa. SMH. Na hapo ati amekachora sana

How does a president destroy the one remaining profitable Nakumatt ati it is built near a river... hehehehe

and then you immediately stop demolition of buildings!!

And as the president you know what is going on with Nakumatt but you destroy that one last shop standing. After amemaliza kujaza stock, unakuja mbio. And who replaced Nakumatt ?!!!

Poleni @Bhai but there’s nothing you’ll do about it if true.

I made a joke last week about Macron coming to inspect their slave farms(Brookside is 40% French)but gaddamn, this was quick to show itself.

Farmer consolidation ndio hiyo.

Guess who’s bank will be positioning themselves near the farmers/saccos to give loans for projects to ‘improve the quality of milk’.

Game chafu aisee. Ni hali ilivyo.

@digi sijui hii imekupita aje .So apparently there is a law waiting to be passed requiring farmers to sell milk to recognised milk processing companies for them to process and distribute .It will sort of criminalise direct sale of milk to consumers by farmers .Ass licking the chinese has come back to hunt Jameson 1 with the increased number of milk atm's in the country.Gatheca tunakuonea 18.
Ati kii? If true, huyu Mama Ngina should be stopped in her tracks. Turns out the TMT hit that family hard with the 'Resist!' thingy. Never understood why brookside buys a little of milk at 37bob and KCC at 50. Right now very few take milk to brookside Eldoret. Me thinks it's one of the things that imekosanisha UhuRuto coz Ruto insisted on the 50bob at KCC.
That bill will never see the light of day. Tumeondokea mahindi na kutorokea dairy halafu tunakujiwo huko tena? It's really unfortunate that in Kinangop a litre goes for 25bob! Heri kuchinja ng'ombe na kula nyama:D. Milk cooperatives in the county with all the services like cooling plants, have thieves as the managers kama national govt tu. Best course of action right now tumeshikana majirani wanne tunachanga 7m and we buy a milk processing machine housed in a 20-foot container. With that you even produce ghee and butter for sale. Only way to go

Naivasha Hawkers using formalin to preserve milk
By ANTONY GITONGA

NAIVASHA, KENYA: Sixty per cent of milk being sold to the public in Naivasha is adulterated and is unfit for human consumption, The Standard can reveal. The Kenya Dairy Board (KDB) said the milk being consumed in the region poses serious health risks to consumers.

The board revealed that unscrupulous milk hawkers are adding preservatives such as formalin, which is used to preserve bodies in mortuaries.

This came as officers from KDB confiscated over 1,000 litres of contaminated milk been ferried from Kinangop, Nyandarua County to Naivasha. During the operation, 20 people were arrested for ferrying milk in plastic containers, which is against the law.

KDB Naivasha branch manager Hellen Mbugua said that adulterated milk accounts for 60 per cent of the milk sold in Naivasha. She said that raids by the board had revealed that the quality of the milk sold in the lakeside town is not up to the required standards.

“We have come to realise that the milk hawkers are adding preservatives such as urea, formalin and hydrogen peroxide into the milk to increase its life span,” she said.

Ms Mbugua said they have launched a major operation against milk hawkers who are ferrying milk from Nyandarua County, adding that the area has more than 100 hawkers dealing in the illicit trade.

“We have arrested 20 of them and arraigned them in court as the operation continues,” she said.

The manager urged consumers to buy milk from licensed milk bars or supermarkets.

“The milk the hawkers are selling is full of poisonous additives,” she said.
I will request you to familiarize yourself with the effects that price and market controls on agriculture have had on the African continent before you use an isolated situation to support the formulation of an idiotic policy.

From some documentary I saw a while back. Similar tactics were used to destroy the Jamaican sugar and dairy industries in the late 1980's.
Endgame huwa the farmer anaona afadhali auze hizo ngombe because prices are low and costs of production are getting higher. Once they moved out of the business, prices are jacked up again. At this point most can't venture into the biz again because walisoteshwa on purpose.

Inaitwa being priced out of business. The real culprits can afford to even make losses in the shortrun

But milk with contaminants actually hurts the poor.
By the way the science of preserving food/milk in sulfuric acid is wrong. This specific acid has a tendency of turning organic matter into a carbon sludge.
Characteristically, you have really tried to defend the paymaster on this one, perhaps because of his interests in milk processing. E for the effort.

Question: Meat sold in kenyan butcheries have been found to be dangerously contaminated. Why hasn't a similar proposal been made to shut down local abattoirs and butcheries, and give KMC exclusive mandate of meat trade?

I meant my contribution to be part of illuminating a subject that is of interest to all of us either as consumers or producers of a product that is so oftenly adulterated.hiyo ingine ni yako.
