Ok. So eight Kenyans died racing cars that are NOT customized for racing.

Imengolewa? Ju?

It’s the high time governments reigned on this sport. Competitors are using ordinary vehicles for sports competition and this is illegal. Rally cars should be customised to provide extra safety measures that ensure the user is highly protected in case of a crash. Spectators must also be positioned in safe areas during the races.

I agree with you but the bottom line is folks just do not value life anymore.

Halafu kulikuwa na spectetors maybe dangerously too close to the road

Wacha upuzi, we have raced at masinga and kiambu since 2005 na hatusumbui, Ghaseer. Medics and red cross are usually on site, ample safety measures are taken

kafamen should not be overburdened with saving fools from their foolishness. The drivers of those cars knows too well those cars are a whisker away from disaster but they nevertheless try to relive their childhood fantasies.

8 kenyans??? Umechizi

An unofficial street car racing in Namanga border between Kenyans and Tanzanians turned tragic today, with eight people dying in a clash that involved two cars.

Most of those who died were spectators. Scores were injured and taken to hospital.
The accident involved two cars, one Kenyan and the other from Tanzania, which were destroyed beyond recovery.

According to sources who were part of the race, the Kenyan Colt Ralliart was turning off the road and was T-boned by green Lexus Aristo from Tanzania.

The green Aristo was doing a flyby high-speed when the collision happened.
“The red Colt was crossing and Aristo didn’t see it and crashed into the side and pushed the colt into spectators,” says an eye witness.

The accident happened at Ol Donyo Sambu, 25 Kilometres from Arusha.
The Unofficial Racing competition was dubbed “The Arusha Drive 3.0” and had attracted racers from both Kenya and Tanzania.

The event scheduled between April 19 and 21, 2019 was being advertised under the tagline “The roads will never be the same again"

Comprehension kweli in shida kwa watu wengi. What do you understand by reigning?

A person who does not value his own life is a burden to the society, and nature will get rid of him,

Kwanza jana nikitoka ocha kuna jamaa alikuwa na Volkswagen nyuma yangu sijui kama ana night blindness. Hii njia ya kuingia Westy from Nakuru iko under construction and has many turns. Jamaa alienda straight badala ya kumake turn akauma hizo blocks na alikuwa speed. I hope he wasn’t hurt.

hehe ati it was advertised “THE ROADS WILL NEVER BE THE SAME AGAIN” how Ironic. of course they wont be the same, dead men have their own high way

Serikali inakujia wapi watu wakiamua kufa 8 by 8? Only an utter fool goes to spectate those illegal road races.

Not too close to the road my friend, they were on the road!

Darwin STILL likes this.

How can you be this close to drunk, young, naive, amateur drivers? Zingine tu ni mwiba za kujidunga

Magufuli na ma feelings atafunga border

They died being fools, sioni shida hapo. At least waliuana wenyewe and not innocent kenyan motorists

All they needed is this simple cage to save lives
