The state of Arsenal: Ozil signs new contract, Aubameyang joins

Most fans have already forgotten that Swansea kulad us a good one yesterday.
IMHO, with Wenger still at the helm, sioni tukienda mahali.

Shida ya Ozil ni moja, he is sublime if the game is simple with no pressure. Hizi team ndogo ndogo. However if its a big game or the other team presses and forces the issue, he completely disappears in the pitch. Right now wilshere has reinvented himself to cover/complement him and therefore ozil game has improved.

very true. what arsenal need is a big game player.

I think its a mentality issue in Arsenal. Ozil in R.Madrid was great, same in Germany colours. However he has made the right decision to stay in England. Unless he was heading back to RM then anywhere else (germany-Italy) would have been a step down.

Not really. The problem is Wenger.

Wenger is a poor coach when it comes to facing teams which have rigid defence and apply high pressure

wenger ni meffi, huyo muzee nikapatana nayeye kwa street anakula 2 hot slaps and a sweep!

Arsenali ni team kubwa with the biggest fanbase hata tuendee coca cola league ama league F we will still attract all the biggest players and T viewership will be high . hail Wenger

also a poor coach. especially of other positions other than atttacking.

“I think in general, the coaches in Italy are much more tactical, that’s just how the league works,” Szczesny told the Independent. "Whether it was [Luciano] Spalletti at Roma or Max Allegri here, the preparation for the game is different to what I was used to in England.

"You work on the shape of the team for a particular match all week. At Arsenal you’d just prepare physically for it but here you watch film analysing a specific opponent before the game and afterwards we’ll watch again to see what worked and what didn’t.

"I enjoyed working with some great coaches at Arsenal, Roma and here, but the goalkeeping school in Italy is very different, it’s very technical and pays more attention to the details. It’s really made a difference for me because I started playing at a very young age with Arsenal and as you play you gain experience and that’s how you grow.

Wenger’s methods are outdated but he is not willing to learn and adapt. And at times, he doesn’t pressurize under-performing players by benching them.

One part natural hability to 2 parts coaching.

I watched Barca vs Valencia last night and there was a very assured CB who made a couple of crucial blocks and tackles, never put a foot wrong despite facing Suarez and Messi, among others.

I also saw a DM who kept Messi at bay most of the match, despite only arriving at Valencia. and indeed the Spanish league, a short while ago.

Their names? Gabriel Paulista and Francis Coquelin. The names sound familiar but they seem different players to the ones we had.
