They nearly torched a 9 year old boy coz of an apple

My story

Am busy in my shop repairing a customer’s phone, yah I do repair phones minor surgeries like changing speakers n mouth piece (mic) …

Outside I overheard a woman screaming " Mimi nimekula ndio wewe ukule"

I rush outside n this lady is busy kicking n punching the small boy , I guess ako 9 years ivi. The beating continues n i guess labda ni mtoto wake wen suddenly an apple drops from the boys pocket…

“Ni Nini mbaya mama ***?” One observer enquires as the crowd grows bigger shocked by the merciless beating the boy is getting …

“Ameiba apple hapa kwa duka yangu, huyu ni mwizi” . She shouts…

The young boy eyes are begging for mercy , on the other hand the young boy is a thief…

“Si uite mamake ?” Another person shouts in the crowd .

"Siukate yeye na panga "an idoler shouts as he sniffs his tobbacco.

“Kama ni mtoto wako unaweza chapa hivyo” a young bodaboda man pushes the fuming lady away n pays for the apple , then throws it away .

“Nyinyi ndio mnalea wezi hapa kwetu” mama was chipo mwitu shouts , as the bodaboda man leaves with the young boy away.

The crowd slowly disperses , everyone with his own opinion …

The question bothering me is , how should u treat such a case , I don’t support the level of physical assault what if u hit the boy and he dies ? …

This world is crazy akiiiiiiii

I would beat the hell out of that little rascal, then give him the apple.

torching ni mbaya but chuna na ugware mahali apate permanent mark/scar as a deterrent

While people stealing BILLIONS they dont need get away with it, a poor hungry boy stealing an apple he NEEDS almost gets killed. Sometimes this life is strange.

Spare the boy and give him more apples.

The irony of life.

This is a crazy world it spins vice versa kwa ground

I once caught a man trying to pry a very valuable piece of metal in our compound that was stashed at the back of the house. Exit ni moja so mwanaume alijileta tu pole pole knowing he could not escape.

I threatened to call a mob and the guy started crying like a baby. He obviously drunk na ni pesa ya pombe alikuwa anataka.

I gave him half a loaf of bread and some fruits that were on the table and sent him on his way.

I have never seen him again.

I can give several more examples including buying full chicken for some two street kids I met in the morning in town while leaving the club.

Kutenda wema na kuenda zako is the best policy most of the time.

Thieves should never be confined. But him being young, it would have been better to give him reasonable punishment and then send him away.

Thieves should never be condoned. But him being young, it would have been better to give him reasonable punishment and then send him away.

Never a dull moment in your hood, Masha! If the kid is hungry I think it’s better to teach him why stealing is wrong. But there’s no need to beat him like a snake. Surely, isn’t this is a no brainer? sad

My son once came riding his bike with headphones and his phone connect. Kukaribia job , he met two boys his agemates and started a scuffle coz they wanted to steal the headphones.
So my son came and narrated to me (he’s 13), Nikasmshow, to direct me where the two boys were. To cut the story short , i was able to nab the big one and the beating that followed its only him who can narrate it.
Ujinga ndio sipendi. Mwizi ni mwizi.
