This generation will not pass away

For the record, I am not a doomsday-er but I am an imperfect student of God’s Word. After reading it, there is just too much in there to be ignored. One reason particularly that I pay attention to what is going on in the world more than I might otherwise is because I do believe we will see the return of Jesus in our lifetime. Of course, I could be wrong but here is a core scripture for the basis of why I feel this way. Israel had been scattered since 70 AD, all the way up to 1948. Israel is the “apple of God’s eye.” Scripture prophesied that in the last days that God would draw his people back to their homeland, (also see Ezekiel 38:8) and (Amos 9:14-15) said He would restore their currency (the shekel). Isaiah spoke of Israel being born in one day, would it surprise you that Israel was re-born in one day?

The Apostles came to Jesus and asked Him about the end of the world in Matthew 24:2-6, and how would people living then know it was happening. It went like this:"And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? So Jesus begins to tell them about how things will gradually heat up and increase until we reach the time that we call the Last Days. The Book of Matthew continues, giving more and more details and time clues until we reach the “big clue”, the biggest one of them all. Stating in Matthew 24:32, Jesus says this:

“Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. So you also, when you see all these things, know that it[a] is near—at the doors! Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.” - Matthew 24:32-35 Here is discernment of this verse: The fig tree is the country symbol for Israeljust like the US is the Eagle and Russia is the Bear. A parable is a story. So, he says now learn a story about Israel. When its branches are tender and put forth leaves (when Israel becomes a nation), YOU know that the summer (the return) is near. It is at the door! Assuredly he says, this generation will NOT PASS AWAY. A generation is a lifespan of people and for our generation that is about 100 years tops. Although, there is a verse in the Bible that refers to the years of life being 70 or 80 (Psalms 90:10). Israel became a nation May 14, 1948, after being scattered for nearly 2000 years. So if Israel was destroyed in 70 AD, and it was, when did it “bloom” again? May 14, 1948 is the date that history records that fact occurring. The generation that witnessed that, the WWII generation, still have not, passed off the scene. They are still alive and with us today, and we are the people that Jesus said would be alive on the earth when the Last Days would happen.

No one knows the day or the hour but Jesus said we were to watch and be ready.

“Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.”

 • Matthew 24:42

In Luke 21: 25-24 He said, “There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea…When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”He told them this parable: “Look at the fig tree and all the trees. When they sprout leaves, you can see for yourselves and know that summer is near. Even so, when you see these things happening, you know that the kingdom of God is near. “Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. “Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you suddenly like a trap.”

This along with all of the other Bible prophesies that are lining up perfectly in this time, I can’t help but share my thoughts in hopes that just in pointing to his Word our hearts may be stirred by His spirit to simply spend time with Him. At the end of it all, it will come down to our relationship with Him. It is possible to have a knowledge of God, to read His Word and go to church and have no relationship. That is what he wants from us. But, it takes humbling ourselves and inviting him with all sincerity. I hope you are blessed and have a great rest of the day! Oh and guess what the currency is in Israel today? Yep, the Shekel,it was restored in 1980.

God keeps His promises!!

Amen bro,we are living in very interesting times

The world has gone through worse and man has survived ! The only thing than can scare me is an asteroid hit like the one that wiped out the dinos , if such is to happen then I wish I’m at ground zero to be the lucky dead !

With prayer everything is possible. The corona virus is taking down people out there like no joke. Even the countries that should be well able to fight the corona virus have been defeated or struggling with it. People have resortedd to quarantine or staying at home for the matter. The practice of better hygiene and social distancing is also a very good solution but we also need god to protect us. When I heard that the president had chosen a day tobe dedicated to prayer I was very glad. I am not sure if everyone took the prayer seriously but everything will be fine according to me. Lets keep on believing.
