“Teachers should not get a pay rise because they refused to sign performance contracts. Moreover, most of them skip work”, MPs said on Thursday.
Do the MPigs have any moral authority to deny the teachers their hard fought pay increament while the first thing they did after being sworn in was to increase their pay a100 fold and they are never in parliament. Sema pot calling kettle black. MI NASEMA WALIMU WAPEWE HAKI YAO.
Lowest paid teacher will earn 26 k up from 16k… Highest atapewa 150k , up frm 104k. Compare that to MP’s salo Alafu mtu bado anapanua mdomo. That MP shud never be re elected… Foolish man
So una support huyo MP nn? Wakenya kaa nyinyi ndio mnafaa kufungwa juu ya mti mkiwa mmehang, Alafu trao itolewe upewe viboko za nyahunyo kunta kinte style
hivo ndio some std 8, 2nd generationer was telling me jana. dude kuna kitu inaiywa proportions and ratio kwa gethabu. there roughly 300k teachers on average earning less than 5% o what MP’s earn so the huge salary difference cancels out the numbers

if we deduct each MP’s salo by 100k how many teachers can we benefit with that? when you do the math you will notice MP wako na upuzi. Gava can afford this. WALIMU WAPEWE HAKI YAO
@Jirani naona uliwatch “ROOTS”…I know some villagers think Kunta Kinte is a dance style from Nigeria or Jamaica. Anyway back to the matter at hand. If MPs signed performance contracts then I think more than 80% would go home. The teachers’ payrise issue has dragged for for too long since the time of Ambrose Adeya Adongo and its only fair they get the increment. MPs on the other hand as @kush yule mnono said, have no moral authority to point fingers at the teachers.
I think paying teachers this amount will equate to less money being channeled to development projects. And you cant borrow money to pay salaries hence it seems our economy might be affected. I would like them to be paid all these but they must be ready to bear the cost of the high salaries they will get. They must be accountable, so they should sign performance contract so as to allow raising standards of public school education. MI NASEMA WAPEWEW HAKI YAO NA PIA WANAFUNZI WAPATE YAO PIA.
I still think if we have the MPs, governors, MCAs, CIC and all other busy bodies’ salaries cut into half and then do away with the senators and women reps and half of the MPigs, that would be a good place to start in reducing the recurring expense. Then there are the 47 District commisioners or district whatever that Ubako appointed, they should be done away with( Am not sure what their function is anyway). I still insist WALIMU WAPEWO HAKI YAO, in Kenya 26k is not enough money for someone with a family to live on.
