Time of death

Is there a predistined or pre-determined day for a person to die. You know the way people fear coronavirus now, you can escape death from coronavirus but get killed in an accident, from cancer, malaria or other disease or even by wild animals. Which lead me to the question is there a given specific day for someone to die maybe by God. I don’t know. Me personally I have escaped death twice, I had a boda boda accident in 2016 where we had a collision with a car and by God’s grace I survived without any injury, while trying to fetch some water in rural grandmother’s place 2010 I slid and fell into a deep borehole. But somehow I i believe by God’s grace I regained my consciousness and came back alive. So this has made me somehow believe that death has specific day. It should be liwe liwalo ni life until your designated day finally arrives. Other believers such as @Purple what is your view on the time of dying.

Those destined to hang will not drown.

There’s a post down there, on the situation in India. So it goes, India is faced with a massive humanitarian crisis, before a health crisis.

You are superman sir,only kryptonite furks you up

Here’s a thought. Eventually you will die just like every single human being. Why should you waste your time worrying about something that is inevitable? Why not enjoy your good health while you still have it. Do you know that there’s 70 plus year Olds who’ve fought cancer for years who think about living from one day to the next? Then a healthy young man is thinking about death, when he will die. All you need to know is this, it’s appointed once for a man to die and after that the judgement, so try to stay ready to go bcz it could be very sudden and you may have no time to make peace with your God. The rest are details.

If you are born you will die, people are comfortable dying from a death which they never anticipated for but if people know their time is up they will panic

Isaiah 38 New King James Version (NKJV)

Hezekiah’s Life Extended
38 In those days Hezekiah was sick and near death. And Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, went to him and said to him, “Thus says the Lord: ‘Set your house in order, for you shall die and not live.’ ”

2 Then Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall, and prayed to the Lord, 3 and said, “Remember now, O Lord, I pray, how I have walked before You in truth and with a [a]loyal heart, and have done what is good in Your sight.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly.

4 And the word of the Lord came to Isaiah, saying, 5 “Go and tell Hezekiah, ‘Thus says the Lord, the God of David your father: “I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; surely I will add to your days fifteen years. 6 I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria, and I will defend this city.” ’ 7 And this is the sign to you from the Lord, that the Lord will do this thing which He has spoken: 8 Behold, I will bring the shadow on the sundial, which has gone down with the sun on the sundial of Ahaz, ten degrees backward.” So the sun returned ten degrees on the dial by which it had gone down.

9 This is the writing of Hezekiah king of Judah, when he had been sick and had recovered from his sickness:

10 I said,
“In the prime of my life
I shall go to the gates of Sheol;
I am deprived of the remainder of my years.”
11 I said,
“I shall not see Yah,
The Lord in the land of the living;
I shall observe man no more [c]among the inhabitants of [d]the world.
12 My life span is gone,
Taken from me like a shepherd’s tent;
I have cut off my life like a weaver.
He cuts me off from the loom;
From day until night You make an end of me.
13 I have considered until morning—
Like a lion,
So He breaks all my bones;
From day until night You make an end of me.
14 Like a crane or a swallow, so I chattered;
I mourned like a dove;
My eyes fail from looking upward.
O [e]Lord, I am oppressed;
[f]Undertake for me!
15 “What shall I say?
[g]He has both spoken to me,
And He Himself has done it.
I shall walk carefully all my years
In the bitterness of my soul.
16 O Lord, by these things men live;
And in all these things is the life of my spirit;
So You will restore me and make me live.
17 Indeed it was for my own peace
That I had great bitterness;
But You have lovingly delivered my soul from the pit of corruption,
For You have cast all my sins behind Your back.
18 For Sheol cannot thank You,
Death cannot praise You;
Those who go down to the pit cannot hope for Your truth.
19 The living, the living man, he shall praise You,
As I do this day;
The father shall make known Your truth to the children.
20 “The Lord was ready to save me;
Therefore we will sing my songs with stringed instruments
All the days of our life, in the house of the Lord.”
21 Now Isaiah had said, “Let them take a lump of figs, and apply it as a poultice on the boil, and he shall recover.”

22 And Hezekiah had said, “What is the sign that I shall go up to

Death is a painful fact of life. Even Jesus Christ, who was God in human flesh, was afraid of dying because it’s not pleasant thing. But Jesus overcame death and the grave so we have nothing to worry about. Only a sinner who doesn’t have the blessed assurance of his/her eternal destination should be scared. The Bible in Luke 12:4-5 says, “Dear friends, don’t be afraid of those who want to kill your body; they cannot do any more to you after that. But I’ll tell you whom to fear. Fear God, who has the power to kill you and then throw you into hell. Yes, he’s the one to fear.”

When the time of death comes we shall bravely say like Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane, “now the prince of this world (Satan) is coming but He shall find nothing in me.” That’s right, when our time comes satan will find nothing in us that he can keep for himself. For the spirit of God that was deposited in us (1 Corinthians 1:22) is our guarantee that we shall be resurrected together with the old saints.

For we shall be changed. In a moment, in a twinkling of an eye at the last trump. For the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 1 Corinthians 15:52-54.

If you’re a child of God you have perfect peace because God has put a hedge of fire that surrounds and protects you from evil. The devil is powerless over you unless God gives him permission. Hebrews 9:27 states that there is an appointed day for man to die and then comes judgment. We shall all face the judgment throne but for you as the believer, Jesus will present you to Himself with great joy before the throne of the Father. So whatever trials and challenges you face in this earth, rejoice and do not falter in your faith because what awaits us in heaven is much greater than the troubles of this world.

I always wonder how sane people take these hekaya za abunwasi seriously.
