To Bribe or Not!

So NTV jana did an expose on why kenyan drivers prefer to bribe cops and avoid courts! Thats rather obvious, but now my question is when these cops raid brothels, na umepatikana juu ya vitu, how much are you willing to part with ndio usifike court! I have never seen any man kwa court charged with soliciting sex! Gosh, na vile wanaume ocha wanajulikana wameokoka Nairobi alafu uonekana alongside @dejavu mkishtakiwa na tupoko 50 mlipatikana sabina! Utatoboka Mangapi?

Hongo ama Sheria? This guy who was arrested for having a worn out tire, chose not to bribe a traffic police na 1k but be taken to police station then court. Fined 30k, which a friend paid but to get receipts to then required office for him to be released, he had to bribe with 2k…# lesson learnt>> wacha ujinga, pea polisi haki yake uende zako…

Matthew 5:25-26
(New International Version)
"Settle matters quickly with your adversary who
is taking you to court. Do it while you are still
together on the way, or your adversary may
hand you over to the judge, and the judge may
hand you over to the officer, and you may be
thrown into prison. Truly I tell you, you will not get out until you
have paid the last penny.

Lord have mercy… yani hata bible ina condone hii kitu

Gitonga ,kali sana hehehehe… The Apostle Mathiu was definitely mundu wa nyumba hahaha, we we we . A Paradox in the very least . presents an Oxymoron when put side by side with the constitution which is apparently based on Christian values.

wueh enyewe mungu huwa amechanganyikiwa,if he inspired the bible writers to write this kind of stuff alaf ukiwa primary school CRE unaulizwa “as a good christian what would you do???”

Hii verse hunichanganisha sana. Does it imply one should bribe ama it has another hidden meaning??

This applies

This applies where no third party is involved but in case of Kenya we have the “State”, Police and the Culprit(you).

Thats why when i hear Uhuru saying his govt is fighting coruption especially in the most corrupt institution i.e the police, i say its bullshit and the president doesnt know what he is saying. This corruption is due to the system. Change it and you eliminate corruption. There is no reason why anyone should ever be arrested and taken to court for a petty traffic offense. That is just congesting the courts and encouraging bribery. There should be well specified instant fines to be paid within a specified period failure to which a warrant of arrest be issued. Also they need not be excessive to a point of encouraging bribery. They should only earn you points and if you get say 10 points from 10 incidences then your licence is suspended for a time. That way, you would rather pay the fine and move on. Also the threshhold of evidence that a traffic cop will present in court should he raised. E.g if its worn tires let them produce photographs of the same including a photo of yourself next to the tires. That way, they can only charge you with concrete evidence that can stand in any court. Right now a cop can claim you were speeding or causing obstruction and you will have no say. Its your word against his.

Hii biblia kweli ina twists. Kwani Sidney Sheldon was among the writers?

Pea askari beer yake ndio pia wewe uende unywe yako. Kama nyinyi wote hamnywi, chai pia ni kinywaji.

From the word go, the system is rigged against you, the accused.

I think its a big shame to have an institution like the police consistently lead the most corrupt chart all the years and each government of the day takes the news as ‘hiyo ni kitu ya kawaida’. The fear of incarceration plus bureaucratic judicial systems are used by the police to perpetuate unending corruption. We are only lucky that corruption at the judiciary has drastically reduced owing to the recent screening of judges and the much publicised case of the registrer otherwise it was a den of corruption

I was in agreement with you until you said ni haki ya polisi. Unless you meant to be sarcastic. Halafu , the words “polisi” and “haki” cannot be used in the same sentence.
