Today is Sabbath. If you are out there doing any kind of work, then be informed that God wants us to kill you!

Sabbath is extra holy because, unlike other ordinary days, the sun rises from the West and sets to the East! So, God said this about the sabbath…

Exodus 31:14 reads, ‘Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death; for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.’

And because the people thought that God was kidding, he did this ili iwe funzo

In the good old days there was no audit to determine whether or not God was actually speaking to Moses or Moses was simply making shit up and claiming it was God that said so. In a way, Moses was a dictator whose political career was backed by divine claims. When people questioned whether God actually existed and in turn questioned his political legitimacy, (when they started worshipping the golden calf) Moses swiftly ordered the execution of 3000 rebels (like any good dictator worth his salt would) and claimed God had instructed him to do so. God instructed Moses to commit genocide on his own people. When it comes to religious matters it’s like our brains just stop working.

huyu moses alikuwa anaenda kwa mlima peke yake alafu anarudi akisema amepatana na mungu akampatia kitabu ya simiti/mawe. there are too many suckers born every minute.

Luke 14:5.

Luke 13:15.

Hebrews 8:13.

I second you sir.

Moses alikuwa @Jaweed …what do you think the burning bush was about, …then after weed he would halucinate about parting the sea and food falling from heaven.

No way

But alikuwa akifanya miujiza mbele ya Pharaoh.

Kuna time Moses amepata wasee wakiomba a golden calf… (this calf was made out of ornaments… Nose rings, belly rings, bangles, necklaces… These guys had blings)…

God aka jam… Aka ambia Moses… Amalize kila mtu… Aanze upya na moses…

And the LORD said to Moses, “I have seen this people, and behold, it is a stiff-necked people; now therefore let me alone, that my wrath may burn hot against them and I may consume them; but of you I will make a great nation.” (Exodus 32:9-10 RSV)

But Moses prayed…

miujiza ata pius miru na nganga wanakuwanga nazo kali zaidi. lakini sijawahi ona mtu amekuja bila mkono ikamea ingine.

Our problem as Africans is we tend to confuse miracles with magic. When a preacher talks of miracles he/she is refering to happenings that can’t be explained,(magic), rather that things that show God’s power, which are simply amazing happenings. The congregation wants spectacles, because they are hurting from a lot of problems, and they want something in the nature of a drug that will intoxicate them into feeling temporarily ecstatic. That’s why preachers have become workers of magic, not of miracles. They simply take advantage of the gullibility of the people, coz it’s business, church business. The problems that cause these people to be so naive are actually economic and social, chiefly created by ignorance, selfish leadership and mismanagement of public resources. The result is family strife, illness, hunger, mental disorientation, depression, etc. In that state of mind, people who go to church looking for miracles will in fact want to not only see someone’s hand grow back, but also expect a mortal to raise up the dead.
