TODAY'S WORD.

“If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. - John 15:7” In John 15:5, Jesus compares those who abide in him to branches which bear much fruit. The branch cannot bear fruit without being attached, permanently attached, to the tree; if it lets go, it will die. If we are permanently attached to Jesus and his word lives in us, he will nourish us and we will bear fruit in keeping with him. One of these fruits which we will bear is answered prayer. We, as the branch which is attached to Jesus, we cannot and should not do anything according to our own will. Rather, the things we do and the prayers we pray should be in submission to the will of God. He will hear us, and provide what we ask of him (1 John 5:14-15).

Amen

True to form…that’s why we strive to read his word daily and keep it in our hearts as it is the only thing that shall not pass away (Matthew 24:35).

thanks

Amen.

Note the use of the word WHATEVER. Other translations use ANYTHING.

Our God will give us anything we ask for provided we truly abide in Him.
