We make alliances with companies when we faithfully buy their products, with the people we choose to share our lives with, with the people we have financial or service exchanges with, or those we receive aid from. But as this verse warns us, alliances are something we should think seriously about. Those we make an alliance with are those to whom we are indebted to; we are not merely receiving service. We are, in some way, sponsoring their causes too. Remember, where your treasure is, there will your heart be also (Luke 12:34). Make God-fearing choices today regarding those alliances in your life.
