TODAY'S WORD.

“And the Word became flesh, and made his dwelling among us, and we saw his glory, the glory as of the Father’s only Son, full of grace and truth. - John 1:14”
The word “dwelt” literally means “tabernacle.” Like the Tabernacle that accompanied the Hebrews on their way to the Promised Land, Jesus remains in our immediate presence when we go through our own wilderness. Even more than that, however, we are also told, “Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you” (1 Corinthians 6:19). Not only do we have Jesus to accompany us, but God has “built” inside of us a permanent structure for the continued presence of the Holy Spirit! The former external types of God’s presence (the Tabernacle and Temple), are now, through Christ, an internal reality. God has gifted us with his enduring presence.
Blessed weekend ahead.

Thanks for the word, blessed weekend ahead
