Is anyone else having this annoyance of having annoying pop-up windows when doing searches for torrents on most sites?
it opens an entirely new tab on my browser (chrome) and i have to keep killing that tab. Usually my ad-block extension (v 3.6.0) works everywhere but it seems useless as far torrent sites go.
Anyone have proper solution to stop this annoyance? i avoid having several extensions that do the same thing run on the machine. So Im looking for the most effective one and just the one extension.

following. Using a phone is even worse, a tab opens, makes your phone vibrate and all this time its flashing virus detected, click here to download anti-virus :mad::mad::mad::mad:

What torrent site do you use? On extratorrent it opens a new tab (usually for some malware site saying my comp is infected like @shocks said) whenever i click on a link, then i have to close that tab, then click on the link again for it to open. Then go through the same process till it downloads that small torent file and opens up utorrent.
How long have you used it?works across the board killing all popups?
It works everywhere even on the sites that don’t grant access if you have ad blockers like forbes.com.

shortcut ni kutumia magnet link, it reduces no. of clicks and therefore fewer new tabs.

Halafu check your Adblock settings. Every once in a while utapata the box labeled ‘allow some non-intrusive ads’ ikiwa checked. Uncheck it.

do you have to have a username? Torrent sites zote zinaitisha signup. So annoying
weka popup blocker add-on kwa Firefox and you’re good to go.

Realised that too on Extratorrents jana. Every click opened a new tab which redirected to jumia.com. What I did was to copy that address then add it to my host files list. Problem solved forever
