Total Excellium and Shell Vpower

What do the the brands of fuel above do that warrants the increase in cost? Mtu asiniambie nigugu because interwebs imenipatia sponsored info which is oft unreliable.

with 1000 i get 10.25L of normal fuel, excellium i get 9.98L the price difference is negligible. Excellium all the way.

Kwangu feturu ni feturu… I hear vpower cleans the engine and removes the clogging carbon deposit, got a high power output to the wheels giving you a Ferrari sort of combustion power. But in which Kenyan’s roads can you hit a speed of 200 km/h ata kama uko na Ferrari yenyewe? So to me the extra cost is not worth it…petrol ni petrol

Depends what engine set up you have. Generally, turbo engines have better mileage with higher octane fuel. So, I get better fuel consumption from a bi turbo Porsche Cayenne engine when I use V Power as compared to when I use regular/super fuel. It also performs better in terms of speed/acceleration. The slight price hike at the pump is made up by value for money on higher fuel range & performance.

Someone recommended I try this Excellium or VPower stuff nikienda long distance isafishe matumbo. Am yet to hear significant gains from using them.

My bet is that it makes sense for highway drive (performance) and highway drive (fuel range). Town use, apart from it being “greener” sioni how it will help much to accelerate between Nyayo roundabout to Haile Sellasie roundabout…

For now, am comfortable gulping the premium fuel without turbo. The only time rpm inapita 2K tao is early mornings and late nights when traffic imefunguka. Peak hours ni poa kuwacha premios, proboxes, passos, fielders, wingroads, demios et al chance ya kuambia villagers how their cars can overtake so and so.

What is the essential difference btn Excellium na Vpower?

VPower has higher octane rating, around 95 RON. Excellium is normal unleaded that has additives which they (Total) say ‘clean’ the engine.
