ROTC is very diffrent beacause its at University level but you’ve already made up ypur mind that you want to serve…in fact most of the guys in the programme had started way off in Lower primary from as early as age 10 as Naval volunteers inaitwa (Naval League Cadets Corps)…washafanya drills wameenda several training camps mpaka age 13…then from 13 to 17 kuna Naval Sea Cadet Corps hii mpaka unaenda Recruit Training Camp unaingia kama Sea Man Recruit (E1) unatoka kama Chief Petty Officer (CPO) ukifanya training zote…si even before uanze ROTC your base is solid

so again the ROTC is a schorlaship program with rigorous entry requirements…not everyone gets it…and then you must have gotten an admission into a University that has an ROTC program…but you see for these kids there if you come from a military family hizi vitu ulianza kitambo when you were younger soits easy for them to get admission…if you are not intrested to became an officer of your grades are not good enough when you turn 17 you can choose to enlist and the centers are so many…there is also the option US Naval Academy https://www.usna.edu/..which is a Navy University which Tuition is 100% free but you have to servre for 5 years in the Navy after Graduation when you are astudent you have the rank of a midshipman and you graduate with bachelor of science degrees and commissions as ensigns in the Navy
