Giggs played very well and consistently up to the very end. Not so with Rooney, in fact in the past two seasons he’s been more of a liability at times even disrupting the flow of the game. Three coaches kept the faith in him in the belief that it was only a temporary dip in form and he would be back to his best. It was never to be, the guy keeps disappointing despite his massive wages.
What’s the point of keeping him?
