Trolls aside, married peeps do you operate joint bank accounts? What % of your income? If high, is it an acceptable risk?

We have Kids A/C, my hubby has his personal A/C and I have mine too. Then we have two joint A/Cs; One for savings, and the other one joint fixed. Then for business joint too. But we normally sit and discuss,. As a result we find best way to manage them. We do team work.
It depends with each couple, how deep your trust and friendship can go.

A better thread on the ishu. Because TBH money matters can kill a marriage.

For the bills only, ni muhimu sana, zinaanguka zote end month by direct debit...hizo expenses zingine ni make up as we go along kama entertainment, shopping, investment etc from our individual accounts.

Sounds like you have found the perfect balance. Do you know how much he earns and/or vice versa?

Money is responsible for killing something in the region of 60% of all marriages.

Yap. It is on the same pedestal as infidelity. I will answer the questions you asked Lady above as much as I wait to read her response. Yes we know each others' earnings and savings. He can use my card details huko and I can use his. We also come together as one when there is tremendous pressure from relas for cash for medical bills. TBH I leave most of the financial matters to him as long as I have access to docs. I mind the kitchen matters......it works v well.

I do not know about joint accounts but all I did was give the ATM to one account that used to receive a fixed amount of money monthly from a side arrangement... Said it could be used as the card holder saw fit. Took care of the main bills in the household.

Have been with my wife/partner for almost 15years now. Yes i trust her because along the way i have tried and tested her resolve and commitment to me. Apart from my everyday hustle, we have a joint ventures which we both pay ourselves a basic salary. Yes madam knows how much i make but ultimately i make the decisions.

How well you deal with money as a couple speaks volumes about the level of Trust and Communication in the relationship.
Those are two of the main pillars of any relationship.
I could never be with a woman with whom we didn't do 100% of our finances together.
