Trucks & Trailers Underride Protectors

These protectors should be mandatory by legislation. That is a policy NTSA should have worked on,instead they are tied up working on things that are of no immediate need or benefit, like stickers and new look number plates.
@Meria Mata what do you think?

muhimu sana, but as usual NTSA chieth are climbing the wrong tree

This is called a Mansfield bar. Kuna shosholite huko Trumpistan alimalizwa kwa ajali ya barabara after kugonga lorry and the vehicle ikakatwa ikakuwa convertible.

Don’t expect it to happen in Kenya. The country is run by clowns.

I’ve seen them sikujua kazi yake ni nini.

In 1967, American film actress Jayne Mansfield died on U.S. Highway 90, when her Buick crashed at high speed into the rear of a tractor-trailer. Following the death of actress Jayne Mansfield in an auto/truck accident, the US Government agency NHTSA recommended requiring a rear underride guard, also known as a “Mansfield bar”, an “ICC bar”, or a “DOT (Department of Transportation) bumper”.

After the above mentioned tragic incident the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration made it mandatory for all semi truck trailers to be fitted with under-ride bars, also called DOT bars or “Mansfield bars.” The steel bar hangs from back of the cargo area and is designed to stop a car before it rolls underneath the trailer.
