I don’t think I’ll ever use the ignore button. I’m not that invested in my opinions that I can’t handle the entire spectrum of available opinions.
The essence of blocking should not about blocking those with different opinions. It is about blocking tolls and bullies. I will always apply it vilivyo. Case in point instead of the author starting a whole thread on her, why not post what he thinks is better quality, tusome?
If I don’t like anyone’s vibe I jog on to other threads.
I hadn’t looked at it that way. I can understand blocking when done from that perspective.
There are however those who block because they allow their ego to manifest itself in their writings. They get heavily invested in what they produce. And criticism of their product gets interpreted as criticism of them. I’ve already identified one who patrols the politics discussions. She is so heavily invested in her political preferences that when you challenge them she makes the conversation personal. But I kinda enjoy getting into a mud fight with her occasionally, so I hope she doesn’t block me.
Because we have real trolls on this site who wake up and go for a few handles all day long. Sad way of living.
Anyway huyo wa politics ni nani??..:DI have been accused of what you are on about:D but I never block folk for their views ever. I don’t actually agree politically with some of my v good friends here like Mangele. I like Jojina’s threads but politically we stand 1 million miles apart and many others…
I believe a forum is like a market. We need all sorts of posters as singing kumbaya on everything is so boring…like talking to oneself…

Definitely has the writing style of a man. I think I am more inclined to believe it’s a man. Either way, he/she is amusing to watch from afar. Their ego is so heavily invested in her/his ktalk writings you just have to say ‘ngwe’ to attract personal vitriol. I kinda enjoy it though, so it’s no biggie for me, no need for a block.
