President Uhuru Kenyatta has effected Cabinet realignments to enhance effective service delivery to Kenyans. The changes have added more responsibilities and privileges to Interior CS Fred Matiang’i and stripped his Agriculture counterpart Mwangi Kiunjuri of some powers.
In the executive order dated Friday, August 23, the state department for Immigration and citizen services was moved to the Ministry of Interior headed by Matiang’i. Uhuru also directed the CS to be in charge of coordinating delivery of national priorities and flagship program
