How do you guys survive?. I was on a small unplanned trip of about 50kms deep towards kitui yesterday but surprisingly, i didn’t come across any source of water or foodcrop along the way[ATTACH=full]379826[/ATTACH][ATTACH=full]379827[/ATTACH]. Just indigenous shrubs and animals.

I’ve asked myself that question. I have cousins from Ukambani, a place called Ikalasa. About 2 years ago I went to their ushago and all I could see was red dust, no crops in the shamba, no water nothing. I asked how come, they told me that people buy food and water. My next question was from which money? I didn’t ask out loud. I didn’t see any economic activity or a big employer in the vicinity…where do they get money? It’s a huge mystery.

They do barter trade . My grandpa used to live in Njoro a place called karogoe. thats where i witnessed a land with no currency,only barter trading.I had gone for his burial and you know how Nairobians embark on a journey with thousands. Nilirudi na pesa yangu yote

:D:D the place is called ikalaasa ,you pass by machakos ,then on way to kitui you divert on a rough road. That place even if you give me 10 hactares for free I will accept shingo upande .but the goats of that place are the sweetest choma

Saa hio jamaa imepiga 700 kilometers mguu. Na bado wawinda wanyama for food. Inafika place wanapatana na Masaai herders, vita inaanza but mwendo lazima uendelee. The determination those Kaos and waswahili had was immense.
