Unwinding with Kidum

I had a business & networking event in Westlands in the evening (6pm-8pm), with Irish to Kenya Amb. Fionnuala Quinlan being the speaker. I will post a video of the discussions in a couple of days time, or less.

After the event, I decided to unwind at Kidum’s live band, instead of coming back home straight away to battle a few mind boggling issues.

Perfect day and timing for me to be in Westlands, so I thought Brew Bistro, Westlands was a great plot for the evening, having not been there in over 4 months, although it’s one of my few frequently visited places for unwinding. Kidum night at Brew Bistro and Salsa night as well. They generally wrap their music by 11.30pm latest, but I tend to stay on a little longer, if I don’t have an early morning start on Thursday.

Apart from Kidum’s live band, which I thoroughly enjoy, I love people watching. People are just strange and interesting at the same time. I am doubly sure, I have been discussed too, especially when a little tipsy and dancing the night away with friends, since I love to dance.

Anyway, for those who have never been to Brew Bistro and would like to enjoy some Kidum live band music in a rather nice setting, with decent folks of all colours and walks of life, try it on Wednesday.

Attached is a snippet of the show I recorded tonight (but now in bed, obviously).

Nice, I would not mind listening to Kidum at all.

Makena handle yako ilikula ban?

Artists regularly switch their backup singers over minor disagreements, monetary, discipline etc.
I see Kidum has stuck with the chic in red for the longest. Ten years plus.
When Kidum was talk of the Town, back to back bookings, she would run the entire show, only for him to show up past midnight for half an hour or so then windup the show.

I’m here for the yellow yellow mamis

Professionals, pay well and never take people for STUPIDS.

Unafanya kazi ya catering alafu unasema ati unanetwork na ambassador.:D:D:D:D

Makena loved Kidum too? She seems to be missed, the way you folks keep mentioning her in posts.

Indeed, I want to be her private chef lol.

The other mama also seems to be sticking it out with him. Between, his gigs are few these days, so he’s always around with the band the whole time.

I didn’t start attending his gigs, until 3 years ago and I still like his band to this date.

ok…first of all the reveler chick seems too psyched up for a weekday…then @Cleopatra VII ,kidum alirudi kenya au ni bodaboda band tu walikuwa wanaperform?alafu does one need to make reservations kwa brew/bistro ya westih?

You told us you are 19yrs old the other day so you mean your parents allowed you out at 16yrs?

It’s Kidum himself! He’s always there with his full band, but he performs with them towards the end.

And yes, that’s the general atmosphere there on Wednesdays at Brew Bistro Fortis Tower, very upbeat environment and people on the dance floor shaking it. If you don’t dance, you will be highly entertained by some dance enthusiasts.

No, you don’t need to book and it’s absolutely free. Just walk in at 8.30pm, and enjoy the music until 11pm or thereabouts.

Hi, I have never mentioned my age here. Bingwa or someone asked me and I played along with it, just as I do play along with everyone else asking me silly questions lol.

You can however be the judge based on my comments and posts, so if Bingwa thinks I sound like a 19 year old to suit his satisfaction, so be it lol.

then a question completely unrelated to what you are taking…maji ni how much uko:D?

I think I know what happened here. Bingwa is on my block list. So I just saw your comment.
Apologies.

Aha, no worries dear. All good. Trolls be trolls and I just love yanking their chains to their silly banter.

Lol, you could even spend upto a K tops and enjoy a decent drink, if you wish too. I was not feeling like drinking last night, so my glass of wine and a litre bottle of water totalled to 1000. Do the maths.

err…maji mia birih…and a glass of wine mia nane?..ok
