Using phone as modem.

Am trying to connect my computer to the Internet via my smartphone by USB tethering. The connection is OK but somehow I can’t still access the Internet.
Computer geeks, what could I be possibly be doing wrong?

Tethering is for peasants. Tafuta modem

It could be something as simple as you not enabling mobile data (internet access) on your phone.

Ensure that the IP settings in your machine are set to automatic. If it fails try on another machine see if it works

It was for emphasis that enabling data wasn’t the issue.

Following!

fire up windows network diagnostics and have the PC try to troubleshoot the problem. Also check if you have a proxy server enabled in Internet Options. If it is, disable the proxy.
