Better still, move into the apartment, connect bills in your name and carry on as if you own the place.
If you can live in it as your main residence for 7 years (different periods for different countries) the law dictates that it is legally yours you just have to prove it using the bills that you will have accumulated.
There are people in Europe who do that and in all the cases i have seen its always in the upmarket areas where people are too loaded to care.
Research on this as defined by the Kenyan law and thank me later… if you have the balls!

and while at it keep it a secret…don’t involve so many people…

hehe halafu zikumange kunyi

how about backdated service charges? or they are not applicable since it has been empty

Haha, mujamaa siunakuaga na ufala

Thats it,…squatter laws.
Someone mentioned service charge. That is the best evidence and it is cheap relative to paying a mortgage or a loan for a flat like that.

This is why Kenya is such a crime ridden nation. There is no shame in proposing to engage in criminal act.
In some countries I’m told that people don’t even use lock n keys on their doors when they go out. I think it’s in Finland. I hope we evolve to that level soon

Believe me you wouldn`t want to live there and its not just because its freezing cold and dark half the time.
Hiyo maisha ya scandinavian countries is just too sterile for an African its like they are looking to create heaven on earth which is just tedious and annoying and where is the fun in perfection?

I’m just being real. We complain that insecurity is a problem in Kenya and this thread is proposing to commit a crime. We can’t be real when it doesn’t suit us and look the other way when it does. OP can do what he must but I’m just saying it’s not right

Off topic but another example for honesty:
Some time ago a student of UoN applied for getting a scholarship through my NGO as he could not get Helb loan without the missing death certificate of his late father. As my organisation is only accepting JAB students I had to deny support for him as parallel student. He told me that Helb proposed him to look for a death notice in the newspaper with the same name of his father and then to come back to apply for loan. He then asked me whether he later could succeed to get support by us…

You surely know my decision.
