VVTi Engine .

Got Toyota Sienta that imeniletea maneno sana.
Its engine is a Vvti.now the problems started when i had a long journey severally last week (read 400+kms) and resulted to a blown radiator pipes enroute that were replaced. Then followed the part of the radiator the top part also blew out n was replaced too .
Later on kufika mjini just making a short trip to and from work the engine overheats n inachemka sana.
My mech advised to hav the head gasket replaced and thermostart removed which he did.
Now of late its lost power ata kwa kamlima kadogo unaskia inalemewa.
Exparts wa kijiji saidia hapa…
@Makanikamurefi leta maoni bila kupitiakwa mama pima.

Just sell the car or put a new engine. Otherwise mekanika atakukula ushangae. Hizi engine the moment u open them ati kubadilisha gasket marks the genesis of all problems.

  1. Those engines are made of paper mache. Cheaper to replace than tinker.
  2. Whenever I see that car I want to shoot it.

Badilisha engine. Once an engine overheats severally the way you are saying, it will have several weakened components in the engine and possibly gearbox which will reduce engine reliability and be a major inconvenience since you will always be at the mechanic’s and getting stuck roadside (and paying towing).

Engine kama inaweka pressure kwa radiator na piping hadi inalipuka imeshachoma head gasket. your Earlier repairs were in vain.
Alafu engine kama hiyo ikishachoma head gasket nunua ingine tu utapoteza pesa ukifanya fixes kidogo hapa na pale. I bet that engine and radiator system as a package dont go for more than 40k. If the car fits a bigger engine and transmission put one in there if you plan to keep the vehicle.

I dont know much about sienta but it appears wazito wanakutakia engine moya. Still ukireplace engine; Drive with one eye on the road and the other on the dashboard. By the time coolant hoses and radiator heads are coming off joto huwa jingi. Sometimes the problem starts with simple thing like a low coolant level ama failure of coolant pump ama kathermostat tu. Picking this up punde temp gauge ikienda juu can save your engine.

Gaidi wewe.

Mwisiiiiii…
Nimekumiss.

Makosa no 1, Gari usitoe thermostat. ikichapa, replace, Have pipes replaced, see if the cylinder head is okay. If you are not sure about this, consider a professional mechanic. But put into the equation a new engine. Its about 60k, hehehehehe. Have been there before

Gaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy

The car did overheat, replaced gasket, and now you have lost some compression ndio maaana gari haina power.

Hapo trick is buying a new engine. Hizi repair will be costly at the long run. Gari ikianza story na compression after overheating juu hapo imeisha…

Will see about this

Siku hizi jakipash anabomoa kabat sana.

Ngombe hii, priss usiniquote

Jinga where have you been? huwezi ingia tu hivyo bila explanation. Hapana bana

Any leads na estimates…kirinyaga road wanaua

Thermostat ni useful zile place za winter wimter

Jaribu Baricho Road na Dar-es-salaam road. There are several places there like shamas, masaku and several others. I think prices ya engine range from about 30-40k up depeneding on the engine

Hapana. Thermostat is there to keep the engine within a certain temperature range regardless of driving conditions. Without it, the engine temp will swing wildly depending on driving conditions and these swings will ruin your engine. Thermostat ikiharibika, badilisha. If the thermostat was only for winter areas then brand new cars in kenya would be sold without it

Jamaa anaslide tu kama salamander na pia wewe umemumiss?

siwezi miss hiyo ghasia :D:D
