Remember the Justice Tunoi saga where Kidero paid 200million shillings ($2million dollars) so he can become Governor. Well, that money came directly from AVIC towers in cold hard US dollars cash as tax money for Nairobi county for getting the necessary permits. Kidero and his associates took that money and used it to pay off Tunoi and Waititu. And then launched fake projects to replenish the funds AVIC paid as not to alert attention.
Tunoi gave that money directly to Waititu who kept the money down low and is now investing that money into the former Jamii Bora bank building in the CBD for 250million shillings($2.5million dollars). To further continue cleaning the money he’ll steal from Kiambu county residents. In this climate, no way banks can be giving out 200million shillings loans without heavy collateral
As a governor, Waititu’s monthly salary is Sh924,000, according to the Salaries and Remuneration Commission scales. A host of other allowances increase his emoluments to Sh1.4 million. Before his election, Waititu was Kabete MP, earning a salary of Sh621,250.
Waititu has never been that rich of a man, even combined with salaries from his former jobs. And I remember we sent one of my family members during his run as governor in 2013 going to his house for a private harambee function to donate funds for his campaign. And he lost. And left a burning hole in his pocket because campaigning in Nairobi is very expensive for those who know… Anyway in 2015 Kidero looked like he was going to lose his case and the best way to rectify this was to pay off Waititu the 200million shillings they had just received from AVIC towers for construction.
The other day Kidero was picked up and grilled at EACC, which he’ll eventually throw his associates under the table so he can walk free. And the following week Waititu directly undermined the President and his wife was arrested on simple charges meaning the state is very much aware of his involvement with Kidero. Let’s not forget Justice Tunoi already signed himself an immunity deal with the State so he can snitch and not fear of not facing any jail time.

You asked a simple question though, where could the alleged 200 million come from? Well in kidero tenure year 2013-2017, Nairobi city county collected minimum 8 billion annually. None of it was accounted for. The Auditor General gave a qualified damning report on two counties, Nairobi and Kakamega. For four years despite having accounting systems in place they never showed any documentation on how they spent collection revenue. All was spent at source and never banked as required by law. 200 million is pocket change here. That the real source of all the loot.

From his Councillor days he’s also made a lot of money from the garbage disposal business - those old lorries that ferry waste around. There are certain areas he has/had a monopoly. He has exhausters and also sells water. The guy is street-smart and can make it without stealing. Maybe he steals for fun or because he can get away with it.
200 million si ni kidogo kwa waititu. Mjamaa alikuwa na malorry za mchanga na mizigo or so he said in one interview. And why go through the hussle of getting his money through a judge? And as governor of Kiambu he is seating on an annual kshs. 13 billion budget. That is not peanuts, if you like stealing.
The weakness in your theory is that waititi was the petitioner, if kidero could get an out of court settlement, Waititu would have just withdrawn suit and there would not have been a need to bribe judges for favourable ruling. That kidero had to risk the criminal activity of bribing judges shows waititu was not amenable to a deal.
Waititi is a large land owner /real estate investor along kagundo rd.
How do you explain the bribing of Tunoi? Kidero knew he was going to lose the case 200million would soften anyone up. Plus the amount of money that campaign took and he lost. That bribed would have helped.
