That tipper carries half the load it bills the customer. Haramu sana!

Watu wanaibiwa sana. Na watu wana hii tabia sana ni ma shiny eyes.

This is the Kenyan standard, even if you ask about it, they will still justify why the trucks are fabricated like that.
There’s isn’t any government intervention to protect Kenyans.
This may change if Kenyans embrace different building methods lakini its happening very very slowly.
@Randy out of experience, what other building methods exist, and at affordable rates for Kenyans? Apart for the conventional, mawe na simiti?

I hold the opinion that it is more sensible to pay a contractor than building it on your own. If you don’t know ALOT about construction, utaibiwa tu hata ukikaa hapo 24/7. You are better off paying a professional to do all the work at a fee. But the ordinary Kenyan na ujuaji will insist on doing everything without realizing his 24/7 presence doesn’t make a difference. I would be better off inspecting the property after every milestone and resting easy than kujifanya mjuaji wa kukaa kwa site daily.

Even with a contractor, you still need to pop in and out to learn more about your project, hapana kuwa jinga watu wanakujengea and you have no idea why and how things are being done, for your future home.
There are very few trusted Kenyan contractors by the way, just for your info.
There are several cases where the contractor used substandard materials.

When you hire a contractor, set milestones and inspect the property with an independent third party mwenye ataona makosa. Alternatively, just hit the market and look for complete property deals, especially or people who are unable to service their mortgages and want out.

Yap, kugongwa ni lazima, important is just to ensure you get a good quality safe building.

Hapa lazima foreman atandaze mkeka kabla mzigo kumwagwa ndani ya site.
