Wambua defends his wife over Likoni Ferry Tragedy

Where is Ombeta when you need him? He should sue KFS and the government for negligence. The car was on Parking and the wife was in the back seat with the daughter .

who was driving?

Common sense: the front part dipped before sinking. So they moved to the back seat thinking their weight will cause the car not to sink front first

At the ferry crossing, you’re supposed to disembark. Kutuma Ombeta ati you were at the back of the car ni kuchekesha judges

The car was packed and the engine was off. As is required once you board a ferry. So the lady went to sit behind with her daughter.

at this point its just questions, but a car in park with the parking brakes set and bodies recovered on the back seat just makes it more mysterious - of course all that could have happened once the car hit the waters, not impossible but very unlikely that an adult leave alone one with a big frame could have moved from the front of a car to the back especially with the car sloping downwards, and at the same time engaged park and set the parking brakes.

I thought they were supposed to be outside the car after parking it and switching it off.SMH

Hio barrier ya ferry isnt it supposed to be up when the ferry is moving pia

What was the position of the ignition key at the time of recovery?
Or the ISIS has a push button start?

What do you mean The Car Was Packed?

Kizungu ni ngumu…

You mean the hand brakes were on, or were the gears on PARK?

No matter which, they should not have been inside the car!

Or they were getting wet at the front seat and so decided to move to the back seat. I think that change in seat position is what caused the car to sink faster.

So tragic.

Only you can see sense…the rest ni mehemehe

Ships ferries and aeroplanes safety is in a way that a single human error/oversight cannot cause an accident.for our case the vehicle slinding backwards should have met a barrier even before it collides with raisable platform at the back…its negligent that the ship back platform wasnt raised making the ferry sea unworthy.

It is MV Harambee, one of the oldest ferries which should have been retired by now.
Yesterday a user complained that it was still operating in the rainy and wet conditions with both front and rear prows open which according to sources are mechanically unsound therefore can never open or close.
This is a government in conjunction with KFS deliberately playing Russian roulette with the lives of Kenyans.

I might be wrong but i thought only sudden deaths cause victims to die with their muscles not flexed. He says they were ‘in a tight embrace’, drowning causes chocking which ill assume would cause struggling thus muscle flexing.
Very very curious someone explain.

Plain and simple as that, all these other questions and suggestions are irrelevant.
The vessel has no safety feature, the docks have no safety features, but blame it on a person when an accident happens.
Had this been a case where they drove over some safety feature then we can blame the driver.
